CRM for a construction company: what makes it different
A generic CRM is written for sales: a lead arrives, you close it, done. In construction the work starts after the sale — and that is where most companies abandon their CRM.
The funnel is different
In sales a lead closes in days. In construction it takes 1–6 months, with measurement, estimate and repeated approvals in between. The client says "we'll think about it" and comes back three months later.
So the biggest loss is the forgotten lead. You need a system of long-term reminders — a follow-up engine.
Everything after the sale
- Site — address, stage, deadline, owner.
- Crews — who is working where.
- Equipment — where the crane is and when it frees up.
- Staged payments — deposit, interim, final.
- Photo reports — proof of what was done.
Calls decide everything
In construction the client does not write — they call. The entire quality of the sale happens on the phone, and the manager never hears it.
AI analysis changes that: the call becomes text, objections are extracted, the script is scored, and any date the client mentions becomes a task.
If the call is in Uzbek, the system has to understand Uzbek. International CRMs do not.
